Fortuna

Fortuna is the goddess of luck and fortune.

Her parents are Oceanus and Tethys, the Titans of the ocean, rivers, ponds, lakes, waterfalls, streams, gulfs, and delta.

Fortuna was often seen accompanying Nemesis, goddess of revenge and balance. Fortuna helped Nemesis decide who needed a bit more fortune and who needed a bit less fortune.

Fortuna was the playmate of Persephone when they were very young.

Fortuna’s symbols are luck, success, and fortune. Her Roman form is Tyche.

“Fortune” is derived from Fortuna, meaning the goodness or badness of what someone gets as luck.
